International
Exercise
Professionals Day
A global call to recognize, celebrate, and elevate the professionals who improve health, movement, performance, and quality of life through exercise.
International Exercise Professionals Day (IEPD), observed annually on 7 August, is a global call to recognize, celebrate, and elevate the professionals who dedicate their lives to improving health, movement, performance, and quality of life through exercise.
Exercise professionals are educators, coaches, trainers, rehabilitation specialists, and movement experts who empower individuals and communities to lead healthier, stronger, and more active lives. Their work extends far beyond the gym—impacting public health, disease prevention, athletic performance, mental well-being, healthy aging, and longevity.
On this day, we acknowledge their expertise, professionalism, and commitment to lifelong learning. We reaffirm the importance of evidence-based practice, ethical standards, inclusivity, and continuous professional development in advancing the fitness and wellness industry worldwide.
Together, we celebrate those who inspire movement, transform lives, and build healthier communities across the world.
Recognition must be matched by action.
We call upon government bodies, educational institutions, healthcare organizations, fitness providers, industry leaders, and other stakeholders to recognize the vital contribution of exercise professionals and support high standards of education, certification, and professional practice.
